Lawton Partners is excited to participate in the Riverview Annual Cycle on Life again this year.
Riverview does fantastic work and provides much needed care in our community. This is a smaller foundation that receives much less via their fundraising efforts compared to the larger, more widely known across Canada charities like CancerCare, Children’s Wish, United Way, etc., because this is something strictly Manitoban. The Riverview Health Centre, and the Riverview Health Centre Foundation both have big plans in the near future – but need funding for these improvements. I encourage you to support this worthy cause and get a tax receipt- our team goal is to raise at least $5,000.
Here are a few facts on the RiverviewHealth Centre:
a. Was originally built in 1911 as the Municipal Hospitals
b. Rebranded as the Riverview Health Centre in 1994, demolished, and then reopened in 1997
c. The RHC houses 387 long term beds that address the needs of the following medical conditions:
i. Stroke Rehabilitation
ii. Acquired Brain Injury
iii. Respiratory/Ventilator Challenges
iv. Alzheimer/Dementia Care
v. Long-term Care
vi. Palliative Care
vii. Robert A Steen Day Hospital
d. Dollars raised through the Cycle on Life will be directed to a variety of initiatives aimed at making life better for all those that use RHC services.
We would like to say a big THANK YOU to our participants for their committment. We also want to say THANK YOU for donating and supporting our team in our fundraising efforts.
